The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) should put a lasting joy and smile in the faces of the good people of Igueben Local Government by making one their sons the party candidate for Esan Central, Esan West and Igueben Constituency for 2023 general election.
There is no doubt that Igueben people have been very patient and supportive to PDP. It is only good the party reciprocate such gesture and consider them this time around by giving one of their sons the opportunity to fly the flag of the party for a purposeful representation.
Among those aspiring for the ticket from Igueben Local Government Area, Chief Alex Adoghe stands out as a result of his moral and financial support to the PDP and the party's candidates in the past elections.
The party will not lose anything, but will be applauded for yielding to the calls of the people. It will also interest you and gladden the hearts of the members of the party to know that Alex Adoghe whom they are gladly presenting to the party is making the first request for elective position since he joined the party in 1999.
You can see how things are going well in his direction. Esan Central has had two Representatives who served in that capacity, including the present Senator, Clifford Ordia, Esan West has equally benefited through Senator Oserheimen Osunbor who served two terms as a Senator and as Governor for Eighteen months. The present House of Representatives member, Hon. Joe Ediowele is serving his second term in office. What kind of illustrasion does a lay man need to know where the next representative member will come from?
Therefore, there is no need to treat some communities or local governments as second class citizens. The right thing should be done even though people who are supposed to make statements on this issue are not coming out to say something, except some concerned individuals who do not like injustice or seen others being oppressed by the powers that be.
If our leaders in Edo Central were courageous enough they would come out quickly when the issue of third term was rearing its ugly head and denounced it immediately. This matter of distraction would have been laid to rest and allow us search for credible person from the right place which is Igueben. And the search will be very easy as Alex Adoghe has already been identified by the people.
