As preparation for the primaries for the 2023 general election is gathering momentum, so also the assessment of all the aspirants by Non Governmental Organizations, NGos, activists, media practitioners, electorate and other stakeholders is equally going on side by side.
There is no doubt that these people and organizations mentioned above have had diferent experiences about our politicians who have served in different elective positions and those who have been contesting, but have not succeeded in being elected.
So many promises were also made by these past and present elective officers that were never kept. Even EBAKOTA that was put together by Esan leaders to keep Esans as indivisable people which the present National Assembly members from Edo Central are benefiting from has now been put aside due to greed and selfish interest.
However, investigations carried out has shown that Esan people are resolute in keeping to EBAKOTA in order to avoid marginalization among themselves.
As for this constituency and from records, it is very clear that it is the turn of Igueben Local Government to produce the next House of Representatives member come 2023.
And the people of Igueben have gladly chosen Barr. Alex Adoghe whom they feel can give them qualitative representation being the first time they are going to produce a National Assembly member. Investigations also reveal that apart from being a native of Igueben, his acceptance is strong in his constituency across party line.
Alex Adoghe is a grassroots politician that do not need more introduction. That was the reason they see him as home coming in every community visited during his consultations in his constituency towards the realisation of his ambition.
The only thing we need now is for PDP leaders to ensure all votes from delegates are given to Barr. Alex Adoghe and by extension they'll equally be making the general election easier for the PDP to record victory at the polls.
PDP should not make the mistake of allowing the appearance of the same individuals on the ballot papers in every election cycle without them supporting others.
Those who spoke to the Groove Watch News across the constituency unanimously agreed that it is the turn of Igueben with the EBAKOTA arrangement and they will love to see Alex Adoghe on the ballot paper to enable them vote for him.
"They say the voice of the people is the voice of God". So, let the voice of the people in this constituency count and vote for Alex Adoghe.
