Christians have been enjoined to be steadfast in pursuing the things of God as there is a purpose for which they were brought into the world by God Almighty to serve.
This was made known to members of the Glory Spring Chapel Inc., The city of God Bless Ministries, Benin City, in one of the weekly anointing services ministered by its General Overseer, Bishop Dr. Gary Adonor Ajededawe.
In a Sermon titled "God's Purpose For Your Life", Bishop Gary Adonor recalled how he became a success story and a testimony as a young boy because the day his mother gave her life to God was the day she started conceiving him.
He added that he came from a background that was not in tune with Christianity.
"If you don't know the purpose for which you were born, you will become a miserable person and could possibly die miserably. I was called from my mother's womb by God and not by a man. If you do not know the reason you were brought to this life it means you have failed".
The man of God reiterated that when people go to church and they do not receive the blessings of God, it simply means they are not serving God Almighty with their true hearts. He said when you serve Him in truth and in spirit, God will certainly hear you, answer your prayers and equally bless you.
Continuing, Bishop Ejededawe tasked christians to be focused, as whatever temptation they might face in the course of following God, will certainly lead them to greatness. "God can use temptation to lift you up. But when you live in the world and you have nobody you listen to, it may affect you negatively"
Bishop Adonor said the only way one could excel in life is to obey the word of God, adding that any prophesy that doesn't not bring result is not from God. He also said that God will not answer your prayers if you do not have passion for lifting the poor out of suffering.
Also present at the anointing service was Prophetess (Mrs.) Bethel Henrietta Ejededawe.
Highlight of the service was the special prayers for members and other visitors present by Bishop Gary Adonor Ejededawe which followed with healings and anointing.
