Foremost Governorship aspirant for the Edo 2024 gubernatorial election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Hon. John Yakubu has congratulated the winner of the CAF 2023 men's player of the year award, Victor Osimhen
Yakubu said watching the great ambassador standing tall at the podium as the African footballer of the year in the men's category elicited a reassuring pride of the Edo man and Nigeria in general.
"There is no doubt that Victor Osimhen has done well in his football career which enabled him to earn this famous award.
I joined other Nigerians in celebrating this feat you attained by dint of hard work and dedication.
"It is worthy of note that your humble beginning brought you to this limelight in the round leather game.
Once again I congratulate you and wish you well in your football career", Yakubu said
