Foremost Governorship aspirant in the Edo 2024 Gubernatorial election on the platform of the  All Progressives  Congress, APC,  Engr. Gideon Ikhine, popularly referred to as "the Game Changer" is a potential candidate of the party in view of  his credentials, credibility, honestly, trust etc, he stands a chance to clinch the ticket of the party during the primary come next year.

His vision for Edo State which centers on Agricultural Revolution, Industrialization, Infrastructure and Transportation, Tourism, Education, Sports and Healthcare will be properly harnessed to meet the yearnings and aspirations of residents of the state. 

"As at today no aspirant in the party has been able to marshall out this kind of plans for the people in the state. It  is a deliberate attempt to turn the state's economy around within the shortest possible period when he assumes office as governor.

It is not how long you have been in a party that matters but how much value one has brought to the party that can give the party all the needed victory in all elections. That is where Engr. Ikhine stands out at this particular period the party is trying to get the right candidate that can match candidates of other political parties in the state. 

Engr. Ikhine's popularity across Edo State is unparalleled and currently causing disquiet in the camps of other aspirants in the party, especially Edo Central which may likely receive the blessing of the party to produce the candidate.

"When I heard that some aspirants were shortlisted by some group of people in Edo Central without Engr. Gideon Ikhine being in the list, it occurred to me that something was wrong. I quickly went for investigation. My findings were simple. I discovered that many were disturbed especially the aspirants by Engr. Ikhine's recent meeting with the state executive of the APC where he was given warm reception and the go ahead to contest for 2024 Governorship election.

To some of them, Ikhine is new in the party and inconsequential. But the leadership of the party in the state knows his worth and the value he brought to the party. The party also knows that it is only a popular, credible and acceptable candidate across the three senatorial districts that can catapault APC to the Osadebey Avenue, Benin City. 

Therefore, it is already clear that Ikhine is a candidate to beat and the leadership and members of the party will be doing itself good by supporting Engr. Gideon Ikhine to clinch the party 's governorship ticket to drive the party to success at the crucial guber polls.
