Frontline Governorship aspirant in the Edo 2024 Governorship election and former Local government chairman of Esan North East, Hon. John Yakubu has expressed his gratitude to Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esam of Benin Kingdom for being his pillar of support
Yakubu stated this yesterday at the Garden of Eden when he visited Chief Gabriel Igbinedion along with his friends and well wishers to celebrate him on his 89th birthday.
"There is no gainsaying the fact that attaining 89 years in grey hair and body and mind is a priceless gift and pretty reward for your sincere service to God and humanity. I want to use this opportunity of your 89 birthday to thank you earnestly for being one of our pillar of supporters and we will continue to count on you for more support as we move forward
"We have come to celebrate with you and to be part of that your God's favoured Dynasty we are part of, because by His Grace I'm a son in this house. Congratulations sir".
Yakubu described the visit to Esama as biblical. "Because the Bible has asked us to celebrate with those who are celebrating and mourn with those who are mourning. But in Chief Igbinedion's Dynasty it has always been celebration by His Grace. We thanked God Almighty for keeping us to celebrate every year. We are also here to draw from the wisdom God has given you. We pray to God to continue to grant you good health and long life".
In his remarks, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion thanked Hon. John Yakubu for coming to celebrate with him on his 89th birthday. He wished him well on his Governorship aspiration.
Highlight of the visit was the acrobatic dance of the popular Igbabonelimhin of Esanland which accompany John Yakubu on the visit.
The dance added colour to the visit and admiration to Esama and other guests present
