The media aide to the Edo State Deputy Governor Musa Ebomiana, Thursday walked out journalists from a meeting of Catholic Men Organisation CMO with his boss, Comrade Philip Shaibu at his Benin City residence.
Musa Ebomiana told the news hungry journalists who were at the parley that only about four journalists were invited to the occasion and lampooned journalists present for coming to the event and subsequently walked them out in the presence of members of the CMO.
According to Musa, "If my boss comes to see you journalists here, he will be angry with me. If you are not called, please leave, I didn't call you".
Attempts by a former secretary of the Edo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Titus Akhigbe to admonish Musa on the way he talked to the journalists was deafened by the murmurings of the retreating journalists.
Entreaties made by the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor, Kingsley Ehigiamusor (Esq) to call the journalists back was ignored as they left the Deputy Governor's house in their numbers.
However, other media houses including, Nigeria Television Authority NTA, Independent Television ITV, Channels Television and African Independent Television AIT were allowed into the Deputy Governor's house to report the event.
