Governorship hopeful on the platform of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Bassey Ogbemudia Osagie has declared that it will be a joy for him to serve Edo people as governor if given the opportunity.
He made this disclosure today during his visit to the Labour Party secretariat to declare his intention to contest next year's Edo Governorship election.
"It will be a privilege for me to serve Edo people as I did in Toronto, Canada. I'm here today to declare my intention to contest as Governorship aspirant in the Labour Party. I think I'm in a position to drive progress and the economy of Edo State and to champion the desire of the people. I'm asking the people to have faith in me. I will bring Canada to Edo State to enable our children get what is obtainable over there".
In his remarks, the chairman of the Labour Party, LP, Edo State chapter, Mr. Ogbaloi Kelly said Mr. Bassey Ogbemudia Osagie was at the Secretariat to formally inform the leadership of the party of his intention to contest next year's Governorship election.
"We have listened to him and we have asked him to go ahead because he is qualified to contest. He also adviced him to continue to consult with party members and other stakeholders across the state to enable him succeed in his ambition.
