The present Agitation amongst various groups in the country is as a result of injustice being meted out to the citizens by the leaders.
This was disclosed today by Senator Shehu Sani, a Keynote Speaker at the World Peace Day Conference with the theme: Nigeria's Unity "Dialogue As Pathway" organized by Faculty of Peace Organization in Benin City.
He lambasted Nigerian governors whom he said are always crying out for injustice at the Federal while the same injustice is been meted out to the people they are governing in their various states, adding that there was a time Southern and Northern governors connived with the Federal Government to hike fuel price.
Shehu Sani said in the coming months that the political elites across both North and South will come together and stop agitating for anything just to again realised their selfish political interest in the country come 2023.
He said the marginalization all the geopolitical parts of the country are complaining about can also be traced to local governments in the states.
He said we cannot have a nation if will have a government that believed only in one part of the country or believed they can serve elites and leave others to suffer in the country.
He pay tribute to Chief Anthony Enahoro whom he described as one of those who actually worked and believed in the unity of the country and haven contributed immensely to the growth of Nigeria. He further said that the structure of Nigeria is cracked and shaking.
Shehu Sani called on the Federal Government to wake up for the present security challenges facing the country, adding that the security agents cannot fight 21st century crimes with outdated equipment. He asked the government to recruit youths from all the communities where bandits are holding sway into the military, so that they can deploy them back to their communities to save their people after training.
