Julius Abure as the authentic chairman of the party. The party there again pass a vote of confidence on the national chairman of the party, Barr. Julius Abure.

On the Money the Federal Government recently released to states as palliatives for the people to cushion the effect of the removal of the oil Subsidy, the party said it was meant to deceive Nigerians. Rather, the party advised the Federal Government to channel the money to fix the existing Refineries in the country in order to make fuel available to the people.

The party expressed their gratitude to the Edo people for helping the party to elect members of the national and state house of Assembly in  the state during the last general elections, adding that the Labour Party has good plans and strategy to get victory in this next local government election coming up on Saturday..

"We are fully  prepared for the election. We will not boycott the election as being rumoured in the state. We call on EDSIEC to ensure there is a level playing ground for all the parties during the election. Any attempt to manipulate this local government election as they did in last election will be resisted by our party and Edo people".

He alleged that one Asaiah Ewaen from Ikpoba- Okha local government, during the EDSIEC training in the local government boasted that he will stop labour party members from carrying out their constitutional role to vote for their candidate during the election. He said he boasted to shoot at sight if he sees any member of Labour party in the field. He called on the security agents in the state to take note and act accordingly.

Uroupa once again begged the Edo people and members of the labour party to come out en mass to vote massively for all the Labour party candidates as they did in the last general elections.
