The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Edo State, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi has disclosed the readiness of his party to inaugurate the party campaign council tomorrow in preparation towards the commencement of the campaign for the state local government election.

He made this known today while briefing journalists at the party state Secretariat in Benin City.

"We are ready for the election. All we need to do as a Party  has been done. PDP is getting stronger and stronger. I wish that Edo people will listen to our message. A message of delivery of the dividends of democracy. A message of the good work the governor is doing in the state".

On whether the election will be free and fair without been rigged by PDP or state government, the PDP state chairman said they would not be surprise if such unpalatable altterances is coming from the opposition. We won't write election results under the leadership of Governor Godwin Obaseki as been speculated by the opposition in the state.

"If we want to write result while will the party be going through the stress by embarking on a rigorous campaign across the 192 wards in the state to prepare for the election? Governor Obaseki has personality met with  all the chairmanship candidates and councillors in the state in preparation for the campaign and the election. As PDP are ready for the election, we also expect them to be ready too, instead of crying wolf".
