EDO 2024: Governorship Hopeful Laments Delay In Accessing Academic Records By Students

The Governorship aspirant for the Edo 2024 Governorship election on the platform of the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Bassey Ogbemudia Osagie yesterday visited the University of Benin with his entourage as part of his consultations towards his Governorship aspiration.

Some of the departments visited include, Centre for Gender Studies, Forensic DNA Department and the ICT Department.

In an interview with The Groove Watch News crew shortly after the visit, Osagie said he discussed with them about Mental Health, rape victims, human  trafficking and the need for equal pay for workers, especially those on essential duties.

In the area of ICT, the Governorship hopeful expressed his dissatisfaction over the delay in getting transcripts and easy access to academic records.

He promised to tackle the issue of human trafficking which he described as human slavery in nature.

Osagie further said that his purpose of visiting those Departments is to obtain first hand information to enable him plan properly and know how to approach some of the problems in those areas visited.
