EDO 2024: Youths Will Be Productively Engaged If Elected -- Osemwegie

One of the foremost governorship aspirants for 2024 Edo governorship election on the platform of the Labour Party, LP, Stephen Ogbemudia Osemwegie has enjoined the youths to be prepared to take the leadership of governance in Edo State through his governorship project come next year.

He made this known recently in an exclusive interview with The Groove Watch News crew in Benin City.

Osemwegie said the youths must wake up quickly to support his governorship ambition in Edo State, as he is prepared and determine to give them a purposeful representation if given the opportunity to serve.

Stephen Osemwegie, a promising and dynamic youth said he has already lined up activities that will be of huge benefit to the entire youths in the state.

"We are going to be engaging the people. It is time for the youths to be engaged in the country. We have to begin from Edo State here. Therefore, join me to work for Edo people. My duty is to bridge the gap between Edo people and those in the Diaspora".

Osemwegie emphasised the role of sports in the lives of the youths. He promised to personally involved  by training with them every now and then in sports activities, which he believe will boost their moral. "In this aspect, in order to Excell in all areas that will make us energetic and healthy, we must turn out this energy in our youths into a productive manner" 

He said if the youths are properly engaged that they will be completely free from social vices in the society.

To crown it all, and make sports more exciting for the youths he promised  to bring to Edo State a US Florida based boxer, UFC Champion, Kamari Usman, for a fight in the State, and disclosed that the boxer is equally from Edo North. He said all these is part of the engagement of the youths and to boost the revenue of the state.

He further said that, before now Kamari Usman has brought UFC fight to Lagos, Nigeria, adding that he is a promoter of sports.
