If the assessment of political pundits is anything to go by in the country it will be correct to say that the coming of Engr. Gideon Ikhine into the All Progressives Congress Party, APC, it is already sure then that his membership will boost the chances of the party in 2024.
It is a known fact that Engr. Ikhine was one of the bigwigs in PDP before he decamped to APC. He supported the growth of the party through out his 24 years in PDP. No doubt Engr. Ikhine is a political giant in Nigeria.
On this note, the APC is lucky to have this great politician whose contacts cut across the three Senatorial Districts of Edo State. The party therefore, has a lot to benefit from him.
It will be very wise for the leadership of APC in Edo State to hold the man with every seriousness so that they can benefit as much from his wise counsels and political networth from his political Goodwill and acumen..
Edo APC looking in the way of Engr. Gideon Ikhine and supporting him to emerge as the candidate in the 2024 Governorship election will be improving the Party's outlook and it's acceptability in the state.
Truly if Engr. Ikhine is favoured to be the candidate of the APC in the 2024 governorship election it will certainly be an easy ride for the party in the next year's election.
Engr. Ikhine's political prowess cuts across Edo State irrespective of political divide. His competency will be an advantage to his governorship ambition, as he has all the experience and quality to put Edo State on the right path if elected.
He has the capability to mobilize Edo people to vote massively for the APC to ensure the party achieves its victory at the poll. Also because of his political personality in the state he will be able to garner votes from PDP members and other political parties in the state for his new party APC. Engr. Ikhine was one of the major contributors to the victories PDP have been recording in Edo Central.
Let the APC members support the man of the moment to enable the party return to Osadebey house come next year.
