A former Chairman of Esan North East Local Government and a frontline 2024 Governorship aspirant Hon. John Yakubu has congratulated the Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare II on his recent appointment as the Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria NOUN.
In a statement issued on his behalf by his media officer and made available to the Groove Watch News, Hon. Yakubu described the appointment not only as well deserved but also a clear evidence of the high esteem the Federal Government holds the reverend monarch.
Hon Yakubu said the appointment was also a recognition of the important position that Benin and Edo State occupy in the affairs of the nation and thanked the outing going President Muhammadu Buhari for it.
He prayed God and our ancestors to continue to grant our monarch the wisdom and excellent health to steer the affairs of the institution to greater height.
