Edo State Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Kelly Ogbaloi has declared that the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi will win the forthcoming Presidential election in Edo convincingly, adding that he has no doubt that the party will take a lead on the election day.
He made this known in an interview with the Groove Watch News in Benin City.
"We are working very hard to win the election. Campaigns are going on in all the 18 local government areas and wards. Although we have not been engaging so much in the area of publicity, but I can assure you in the area of political strategy in Winning any election is also going on underground".
He said however, that the party have decided to keep all its strategies secret having it in mind that there are other political parties they are contending with, whom he said also have their own way of running election. He also said that the party want to make sure that its strategies are not put in the public domain.
"But we ensure that the party is doing everything possible in order to meet up with the demands of 2023 general elections".
Ogbaloi said everyone will agree with him that after the successful Presidential rally in Edo State that one will conclude that Labour Party is the most outstanding political party in the state when you make comparison with other parties like PDP and APC.
On the issue of structure in the party, Kelly Ogbaloi said it has been an issue they have been talking about labour Party. He said anybody talking about structure in Labour Party is only being mischivous and looking for what they will say about the party, adding that the structures are there, as they have gone far to consolidate in the state and national in such a manner that no stone will be left unturned.
He enjoined all Edo people to continue to hold Faith with the Labour Party, as the party will ensure they deliver on the promises made to Nigerians.
"Nobody should be dispelled. All our supporters should come out in en-mass and vote for Labour Party to effect the desire change Nigerians are yearning for. Those who are yet to collect their PVCs should endeavour to do so as that is the only weapon we can use to make the change".
