The reduction of of criminals carrying arms in Edo State has been attributed to the effort of the officers of the police command.
This disclosure was made today by the Edo State Police Commissioner, Philip Aliyu Ogbadu when briefing journalists in his office.
According to him, "Numbers of people carrying illegal arms in Edo has reduced since January, 2021. This could be attributed to the assistance of the Edo State Security Network. Also, we have been able to keep kidnappers away from operating within the town".
He also said that within this period 150 suspects for various offences has been charged to court, adding that 27 assorted guns made up of pump action, double barrel, cut-to-size and locally made pistol was recovered.
