Esan Magazine honours three Esan prominent sons with award of excellence

Esan Magazine management yesterday honoured three prominent sons of Esan land to mark its thirty-five years in publishing industry.

In his welcome address, the publisher of the magazine, Mr. Peter Iwelomen said there could not be a better time than this day set side to celebrate this laudable achievement.

He said it is a known fact that Esan land parades men and women who can hold their own anywhere in the world, adding that Esan land had produced giants like Chief Anthony Enahoro, Prof. Ambrose Alli, Admiral Augustus Aikhomu, Chief Tony Anenih, Chief Tom Ikimi and many others.

Continuing, Iwelomen described Esan spirit as that of determination, hard work and humility. He said they decided to honour Dcn.  (Dr.) Vincent Agenmonmen, Chief (Dr.) Leemon Ikpea and Chief, Engr. Patrick Anegbe for contribuion to the society with their hard earned resources. He further said that Esan Magazine believed that men and women who deserved honour should be honoured in their life time which he said made today's awardees beneficiaries.

In his earlier remark, chairman of the occasion, sir Roland Osakue said it is only wise to honour those who have tirelessly worked for their community and the country in general.

On his part, the guest speaker of the event, Mr. Osakpolor Omorogeva whose topic titled: "The Youth Necessity for Hardworking and Determination", said there was no option to hard work in life. He also emphasised that no profession was common and therefore enjoined the youths to have a good plan at their early stage in life.

He said the reason the awardees were being honoured today was due to their hard work and success.

In their separate responses the awardees expressed their gratitude to the the Publisher, Mr. Peter Iwelomen for deeming it fit to recognised and honour them for their contribution to humanity.

Highlight of the event was presentation of the award to the recipients.
