Former LP Edo GovernorshipAspirant Remembers Her Late Mother, Princess Lucy Okojie

Former Edo 2024 Governorship aspirant on the banner of Labour party, LP, Amb. Princess Asha Okojie has described the undying memory of her late mother as a deep reflection of the love and care she gave to her and her siblings while she lived.

Princess Asha Okojie made the disclosure to Journalists in Benin City while remembering her late mother, Princess Lucy Okojie who passed away on August 8, 2024.

She said as a true pillar of her family, her late mom dedicated her time and resources to the upliftment of others, leaving behind a legacy of service, generosity and selflessness. She also described her as a mentor who render all necessary advice.

"Princess Lucy Okojie was a woman of grace, profound wisdom. She was a guiding light to her children. She nurtured and encouraged them with love, discipline and the fear of God. Her devotion extended to her role as a grand mother and great-grand mother, where she left cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come".

According to her, the late Lucy Okojie was not just a mother but a teacher, confidant and a guiding light, adding that her life was a masterpiece of love and faith.

"You taught me the true meaning of strength and grace. I watched you face challenges with unwavering faith and resilience that inspired everyone around you. Your kindness and compassion knew no boundaries. You opened your heart and your house to so many, thereby creating a legacy of love that  has outlived you".

Princess Asha Okojie said she will continue to  remember her warm and beautiful smile and the way her presence often brought peace and comfort to everyone. She said her dear mother had the ability to bring people together, healed wounds with words of encouragement.

Princess Okojie said she could not forget in hurry  their last shared moment that was filled with inspirations and  how to live a purposeful life worthy of emulation.

"My mother will forever be remembered for the indelible impacts she made on the lives of those who were fortunate to have known her when she was alive".

She therefore promised to honour her memory in every day of her life by reliving her virtues that bonded the family.

Late madam Princess Lucy Okojie, nee Ovonlen hails from Uromi, in Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State. She was born on December 12, 1945 and died in 2024 at the age of 79 years.
