Foremost Governorship aspirant for the Edo 2024 Gubernatorial election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, popularly referred to as "the game changer", Engr. Gideon Ikhine has said he is in the race to reorganize the government to reflect the needs of the ordinary people.
Engr. Ikhine made this known to The Groove Watch News today, while inaugurating his Campaign Organization at his campaign Secretariat in Benin City.
Ikhine noted that such reorganization was needed to reintegrate Edo people into the scheme of things in the phase of current non existence of government in the lives of the people
He also said that in his government, he will ensure that party supremacy exists where leadership will be given due recognition and that every party member, including the governor would obey the rules and regulations of the party. "You must have who you are accountable to", he noted.
"My first priority is to unite Edo people because we are from one root. We must take back government to the people at the grassroots. I came to APC with value that will impact positively on the victory of the party come next year's Governorship election".
Engr. Ikhine reiterated his commitment through his vision in transforming Edo State into a choice destination through a revolution in industry, agriculture, tourism and transportation when elected as governor..
He enjoined the local government coordinators to work as a team because it is not possible for one person to achieve success in the task ahead and described APC as a party focused to win election in Edo State. "No need of tearing each other's apart because whoever that emerges will become the party's candidate, everyone will work for".
On his part, the Director General of the Campaign Organization Hon. Jerry-Love Omorogiuwa in his remarks thanked the coordinators for the faith they have in the vision of Eng Gideon Ikhine to transform Edo state as well as their willingness to work for him.
He assured them of his determination to work with them to ensure Engr. Gideon Ikhine wins the primary election.
Highlight of the event was the official inauguration of the Campaign Organization by Engr. Gideon Ikhine.
