Edo APC Congress: I step down for Col.Imuse for the party's interest ----Chief Inegbineki

An aspirant in the just concluded Edo APC State Congrrss, Chief Francis Inegbineki has explained why he dropped his aspiration to become the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Edo State Chapter.

This explanation was given before the Congress, in a press statement he personally signed and made available to Groove Watch Magazine in Benin City.

In the statement, Chief Francis Inegbineki expressed his gratitude to everyone that supported him during the period.

"My desire to contest was in pursuance of a partrotic eagerness to reposition, rebuild and rebrand our party to enable it discharge adequately its political obligation to Edo people as the leading opposition party in the state".

He also disclosed that after hours of intensive meeting with the critical stakeholders of the party, that it was agreed that for the interest and cohesion of the party, the incumbent chairman, Col. David I'muse should be supported to mantle the affairs of the party, hence I dropped my aspiration.

He further said that as a loyal party man who want the best for the party that he was constrained with the assurance that the party would be rejig, reinforce and re-equip to fulfil its political responsibility to the people of Edo State.

He appealed to all his teaming supporters to give the new chairman, Col. David Imuse and members of his executive all the needed support to lead the party to an enviable position.

Chief Francis Inegbineki is the Vice Chairman/Edo Central Senatorial Leader of APC.
